Have you ever considered a negative side to all of your body & health dreams coming true?

Let's talk Negative Consequences.

Negative Consequences are "negative" events that might occur if you live your body & health goals.

These can be a precursor to your sabotage-cycle behaviours.

An example: I had always been overweight as a child and teen, I remember dieting intensely (and unhealthily) and losing weight when I was around 21. I started to get a huge amount of attention from well-meaning colleagues and friends! πŸ’•

Everyone was talking about my body and I absolutely hated it!!!

I remember people walking into my office "OMG you lost so much weight, you look amazing" and everyone stopped and looked at me!

I also remember thinking - I guess I wasn't good enough before?

πŸŒ™ That was my first of many experiences of negative consequences regarding my body image. I gained it all back very quickly so I could be invisible again.

WHAT ARE YOUR NEGATIVE CONSEQUENCES?

πŸŒ™ Having to spend a lot of money on a whole new wardrobe might be your negative consequence.

πŸŒ™ Looking older or having excess skin is one I hear a lot from my beautiful clients

πŸŒ™ You might cringe at the thought of attention from men, or unconsciously worry that your spouse might be not supportive of your changes

Β Try this exercise at home:

✨ Write down as many "Negative Consequences" you can think of.

The ones holding you back from taking control of your health, putting yourself first & allowing yourself to achieve your health and fitness goals.

Go through each consequence and forgive yourself! You are ready to move on and forward.

There is no right or wrong way to do this. Just write a list & become aware πŸ™πŸ™
